MASALE WALI BHINDI RECIPE
Ingredients: 2 tsp coriander powder (dhania powder) 1/4 tsp dry mango (aam) powder 2-3 garlic cloves (lasan) 1/2 tsp red chilli (lal mirch) powder 2 tsp dry mango (aam) powder salt (namak) to taste 2 tsp turmeric (haldi) powder 1/4 tsp turmeric (haldi) powder 2-3 tbsp oil (tel) for frying 2 tsp chilli powder 2 tsp oil (tel) 1/2 kg whole okra (bhindi) 1 1/4 tsp coriander powder (dhania powder) 1 tsp salt (namak) to taste approx 2 tsp oil (tel)
How to make masale wali bhindi: - Wash and wipe the okra dry.
- Make the slit in okra lenghtwise.
- Make a paste of garlic.
- Add 2 tsp of oil, coriander powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder, dry mango powder and salt.
- Stuff this mixture in the okra.
- Heat oil in a heavy bottomed pan.
- Add the stuffed okra.
- Cover the pot and stir fry over low heat up till okra is soft , this will take approx. 20 -25 minutes.
- Do not stir frequently as it might become sticky.
- You can also mix in whole green chillies along with okra.
- Serve hot.
