Sago Payasam


Sago 100gms
Milk 350ml
Cardamoms 3 nos crushed
Rose water 3 ml
Cashew nuts 5 gms
Butter 5 gms
Sugar 100gms
Condensed milk 50 ml

How to make Sago Payasam:
  • Boil the milk in a sauteue along with the sugar and the sago over a medium flame.
  • Cook till the sago swells up.
  • Remove from the fire.
  • Add the cardamoms, condensed milk and the rose water and mix thoroughly.
  • Melt the butter in a pan and add the cashew nuts and fry till golden brown.Drain.
  • Place on top of the payasam.
  • Serve in ice cream coupes or small glass bowls at luke warm temperatures.
