Cabbage With Daal Recipe
Cabbage with daal is made from moong daal or toor daal. Learn how to make cabbage with dhal.
Ingredients:
1 lb finely chopped cabbage
1/2 cup toor daal or moong dhal
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
2 or 3 green chillies (cut into halves)
1 clove garlic
2 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
How to make Cabbage With Daal:
- Soak dhal for 1 hour. Boil them in 1 1/2 cup water until soft. Keep aside the boiled dhal.
- Heat oil and add mustard, cumin seeds, green chillies till splutter. Then add garlic paste. Add cabbage and mix it well.
- Close the vessel and allow it to boil for 6 to 8 minutes on medium flame. Keep stirring occassionaly.
- When cabbage becomes soft then add dhal, salt and mix well. Add some water and further cook for 7 to 8 minutes with closed vessel.
- Cabbage with daal is ready to serve. This goes very well with .
