Chutney Paneer Tikka

Everyone’s favourite Paneer tickka is made by roasting paneer cubes in the marinade of cheese, yogurt, cornflour, mint chutney and cheese. Learn how to make Paneer tikka.


1 kg cottage cheese (paneer)
3 gms black cumin
15 gms chaat masala (optional)
50 gms gratec cottage cheese
60 ml cream
5 gms dried fenugreek
250 gms fresh mint chutney
10 gms garam masala
15 gms garlic paste
15 gms ginger paste
30 gms gram flour
25 ml lemon juice
10 gms red chilli powder
Salt to taste
5 gms white pepper
150 gms drained yoghurt


How to make Chutney Paneer Tikka:
  • Wash and cut the cottage cheese into 4 cm cubes. (30 pieces).
  • Then mix the black cumin, white pepper, garam masala, lemon juice and salt.
  • Add the grated cheese to this mixture.
  • Marinade for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  • Mix cream, yoghurt, gram flour/cornflour and mint chutney.
  • Add the remaining ingredients and whisk to a fine batter.
  • Add the paneer cubes to this marinade and leave aside for at least 1 hour.
  • Preheat the oven to 150-175? C.
  • Thread the paneer cubes on a skewer, 2 cms apart.
  • Roast in the oven, tandoor or on a charcoal grill for 5-6 minutes.
  • Baste with melted butter.
