Pistachio Ice Cream Recipe
Pistachio ice cream dessert is made from pista, condensed milk, cream and pista essence. Come know more about how to make homemade pistachio icecream.
Ingredients:
15 gms pistachios (Pista) chopped
1 cup sugar
3 tbsps condensed milk
3 1/2 tsp maida
3 1/2 cups milk
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups cream
1/2 tsp pista essence or vanilla essence
1 tsp green colour
How to make Pistachio Ice Cream:
- Separate the eggs.
- Whisk egg yolks and sugar with milk.
- Add maida 2 spoons at a time and beat till soft and creamy.
- Simmer on low heat stirring all the time to make sure no lumps form.
- When mixture is thick remove and cool.
- Refrigerate till half set.
- Mix essence and green colour.
- Whisk the cream over a bowl of ice cubes till soft peaks form.
- Beat egg whites till firm and mix with cream.
- Defreeze the half set mixture and beat well.
- Add the egg mixture and essence, whisk till well blended.
- Add half the nuts and re-freeze till firm.
