Prawn masala vada is made by grinding split red gram and then adding spices and prawn (jhinga) and then deep frying.
115 gm Split red gram
30 gms onion
2 green chillies
2 red chillies
Salt to taste
10 (boiled & seasoned) Prawns
- Soak gram for two hours and grind it coarsely.
- Mix finely chopped onions, green chillies, coarsely ground red chillies and salt.
- Shape the mixture into small flat rounds about 1/3 inch thick.
- Place one prawn on each vada and deep fry till crisp and cooked.
