4 tblsp split red gram lentil (toor dal or arhar dal) 1 tsp salt 1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi powder) 2 tsp tamarind pulp (imli ka paste) 4-5 whole black pepper (sabut kali mirch) 1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera) 4-5 garlic (lahsun) 1/2 a pinch asafetida (hing) For Seasoning : 1 tsp oil 1/4 tsp mustard seeds (raai) 8-10 curry leaves (kadipatta) 1/2 a pinch asafetida (hing) How to make Rasam:
