Learn how to make sweet rice or meethe chawal with the flavour of saffron. cashewnuts and cardamom.
1 1/2 cups rice
1 1/2 cup sugar
6 tsp ghee
2 tsp half cashews
1 1/2 tsp golden raisins
1 tsp elachi powder (cardamom)
few strands saffron
- Cook rice with 3 cups of water, saffron strands and the sugar with 1 tsp of ghee (so that the rice does not stick), in an electric rice cooker.
- Heat ghee, fry cashewnuts and raisins.
- Add to the rice, add the elachi powder and stir thoroughly.
- Cool and Serve.
