Tomato Chutney Recipe
Here's a delicious, spicy south Indian tomato chutney recipe. It is a great accompaniment for idli and dosa. Learn how to make tomato chutney south Indian style.
Ingredients:
4 tomato (tamatar)
2 fresh whole red chilly (sabut lal mirch)
1/2 tsp salt (namak)
1 lemon (nimbu)
1 tsp sambhar masala
1 tsp mustard seeds (rai)
1 tsp oil
How to make Tomato Chutney:
- Cut tamatar and lal mirch into pieces.
- Grind tamatar, mirch and namak in a mixer to make a paste.
- Heat oil in a pan and crackle rai in it.
- Then add the above paste and sambhar masala.
- Cook for a minute stirring continuously.
- Mix lemon juice and serve tomato chutney with dosa or idli.
