Tomato Palak

The blissful combination of tomato, cashewnut, cream and ginger with spinach, learn how to make tomato palak recipe.


12 tiny tomatoes
1 bunch palak
3 flakes of garlic
3 green chillies
3 tblsp cashewnut paste
2 tblsp dairy cream
1 tblsp chaat masala powder
A small piece of ginger
3 tblsp butter
salt to taste


How to make Tomato Palak:
  • Wash and shred palak.
  • Keep the tomatoes whole.
  • Heat butter in a kadai and fry the finely minced onion till golden brown.
  • Add sliced green chillies cashewnut paste, chaat masala powder, finely minced garlic and ginger.
  • Fry till a nice aroma rises. Mix shredded palak and whole tomatoes.
  • Pour in one cup of water.
  • Add salt to taste. Simmer till done. Drizzle slightly whipped cream on top.
  • Serve hot. (The gravy should be thickish to go well with rotis.)
