Vegetable Bonda

Learn how to make vegetable bonda.


2 cups vegetables (potato, beans, carrots, grean peas)
1 big onion
3 green chillies
1 tsp red chilly powder
1 tsp garam masala (optional)
coriander leaves as needed

For Batter
11/4 cup gram flour
1/2 cup rice flour
salt to taste
1 tsp red chilly powder
oil for deep frying


How to make Vegetable Bonda:
  • Steam the vegetables and mash them to a tight paste.
  • Add grated onions with salt, coriander leaves, red chilly powder and cut green chillies.
  • Make small balls and keep it aside.
  • Prepare the batter by mixing the flours with salt and chilly powder to a thick paste.
  • Dip the vegetable balls in the batter and deep fry it in oil.
  • Serve it hot with a hot cup of tea.
