Moongjo Vada


Moong dal – 300 gms
Onions (chopped)- 50 gms
Green chillies – 8-9 nos.
Coriander leaves – 25 gms
Cumin seeds – 5 gms
Oil – to fry
Star anise – one
Salt – to taste

How to make Moongjo Vado:
  • Soak the moong dal in water for a couple of hours.
  • Grind it properly to form a smooth paste.
  • Blend it with chopped onions, chillies, and coriander and cumin seeds.
  • Check for salt seasoning and deep fry till golden in colour.
